About the Challenge

The Green Business Challenge is a joint initiative of ICCO Cooperation and Innovative Change Collaborative Services Pvt. Ltd. (ICCSPL) with a mission to create and enable a regional platform to find and foster Agripreneurs with innovative ideas that address today’s Agriculture challenges focusing on the Eastern & the North Eastern region of India.

The challenge will bring together more than 100 entrepreneurs and leaders of entrepreneurial organizations, investors, knowledge & technology providers along with government agencies from different parts of the country to exchange innovative ideas, establish networks and create an enabling environment in each state of the region for the Startups.

Who can Participate / Apply

Green Business Challenge, is open to startup in the first year of operation that is actively operating or plans to operate in the Eastern or the North Eastern Region of the country on Agri-based social enterprises. We also encourage students to put business ideas into practice in a collaborative and nurturing environment where they would be supported further by ICCo upon selection.

The Challenge format

As a build up to finding the best agripreneural brains for the Challenge, roadshows will be held across 8 destinations in the Eastern and North Eastern states – Ranchi, Guwahati, Jorhat, Shilong, Gangtok, Kohima, Imphal, and Bhubaneshwar.Through the Roadshows, we are aiming to bring together more than 1,000 stakeholders including Agri-Startups, who would join us to become part of the Challenge.

Interested participants need to fill up the business proposal application form on the Challenge website and submit it adhering to the specified timelines. As per the Challenge format, applications would be screened, and shortlisted applicants willget the opportunity to pitch their propositions in front of a seasoned Jury on 28th and 29th November, 2016 at New Delhi. Consequently, the best proposals will be rewarded with cash prizes, besides a tailor-made incubation support from the ICCO’s Agri-business Booster programme (AbB) for 6-8 months.
